Ms. Damiani, as a member of a national law firm, defended those accused of crime as well as companies sued in employment, business, government contracts and product liability litigation cases filed in state and federal courts. She started her own practice in 2000 and began focusing primarily on plaintiffs' employment issues and criminal defense. Some of the firm's recent criminal and civil matters have received media attention; most recently, The City of San Diego Pension Fund case and the SDG&E Encanto site asbestos civil and criminal litigation. Television, newsprint and radio media reported on the firm's cases of a Vice President of Scripps Health accused of an unlawful kick back scheme and a minor accused with seven other minors of committing hate crimes against migrant workers in the mountains near San Diego. As a result of the migrant worker case, which made it to the highest court in California for review, television journalists interviewed Ms. Damiani who has appeared as a commentator for Court TV. | |
